# What is GVEX?

GVEX (GPUNET Verifiable Exchange) is a native decentralized exchange built directly on GANChain L1, designed to power verifiable trading within the GPUNET ecosystem. Unlike traditional DEXs, GVEX functions as an infrastructure-level marketplace that bridges computational assets with tokenized value.

#### Design Principles

GVEX is built on three core pillars:

**Security**: All transactions execute on-chain through verifiable smart contracts. Users maintain full custody and control over their assets throughout the trading process.

**Transparency**: Every trade, Node exchange, and liquidity movement is visible and auditable in real-time on the blockchain.

**Simplicity**: The platform serves both blockchain newcomers and experienced traders with a frictionless interface that doesn't compromise on verifiability or security.

#### Key Features

* Native GANChain L1 integration with no intermediary dependencies
* Full orderbook functionality with market and limit orders
* NFT trading (Nodes) alongside token pairs
* Instant settlement upon order matching
* No hidden fees or staking requirements
* Open access for all users, not just Node holders

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.gpu.net/gvex/what-is-gvex.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
